Medication & Pain Management

Communication

All of the care plans are importance of verbal and non verbal effective communication to understand possible indicators of feelings.

Carers are trained to adapt communication techniques according to different abilities and preferences.

Feeding

  • Preparation of freshly cooked meals

  • Nutrition advice and support

Suctioning

Oral suctioning may be necessary as swallowing becomes less effective. It is performed to remove excess secretions from the mouth to maintain comfort and oral hygiene.

Oral suction involves the insertion of a yankauer into the mouth to remove sputum or saliva. This will be performed by a registered nurse or fully trained clinical carer.

Acquired Brain Injury

For individuals recovering from a brain injury and needing to relearn essential skills, our nurses provide goal-focused care in the comfort of their home. This structured approach involves intensive, time-limited assessment and therapy, designed to support recovery while minimising the need for long-term care or hospital readmission. By delivering specialised assistance within a familiar environment, we empower clients to regain independence more effectively.

INSULIN INJECTIONS AND BLOOD SUGAR MONITORING

Whether you are living with type one or type two diabetes. Our Nursing Team are there to support you to monitor your blood sugar levels to ensure they are maintained within range, helping to reduce the risk of developing complications in the future.

We will work with you to implement and monitor a care plan that will support you to maintain a healthy weight through exercise and a healthy diet.

CONTINENCE CARE (CATHETER, BOWEL AND STOMA)

Our Complex Care Team can provide support in the following areas:

  • Incontinence aids
  • Catheter management
  • Bladder retraining
  • Stoma management

PEG AND GASTRONOMY CARE

Flushing the PEG tube regularly to ensure it does not become blocked.

Keeping the skin around the stoma site clean and healthy.

Rotating and advancing the PEG tube to ensure the plastic disc inside the stomach is rotated frequently and does not become embedded.

Spinal cord injury

Our Complex Care Team are highly trained and experienced to provide clinical interventions required by those living with a spinal injury including:

  • Assisted mobility & use of aids
  • Bowel and bladder management including stoma, catheter and urostomy care
  • Medications administration and complex medications management
  • Home ventilation and respiratory support
  • Pain management caused by a spinal injury
  • Continence care
  • Gastrostomy and nasogastric feeding
