Our mission is to empower caregivers with the skills and knowledge to provide compassionate, high – quality care
It was always part of our plan to develop our own in-house elite training programme to meet the company’s training needs, and we were delighted when Christine Rich accepted the position of Chief Learning Officer, bringing her wealth of knowledge and experience to the role.
Elderly Care Academy was founded to ensure that our carers were all trained to an exceptional standard to promote quality of care across the board, for the benefit of our clients.
Due to the success of our in house training platform, we developed an external training programme offering practical, compliant and well delivered face to face training adapted to suit individuals or company requirements. Elderly Care Academy offer a bespoke training package tailor made to meet organisational needs, to include specialist areas of training. Our all encompassing training solution enables/empowers delegates to perform with the knowledge and confidence at the highest standard, ensuring legal and CQC compliance.
Student testimonials
We always like to receive feedback after a training session, as it helps us to gain insight into the delegates experience. Here are a few examples of the reviews we have received.
"Great content and interesting. Very engaging and interactive with the trainer asking questions and encouraging delegate interaction."
"Great informative course, leaving me confident to safely administer medication in the care home I work in. "
What an insightful course! The trainer was very knowledgeable about the different signs and symptoms of dementia. We were given practical advice on how to manage challenging behaviour, and given the opportunity to share our experiences. We were encouraged to ask questions which has enabled us to improve how we deliver care.
Christine came across as very knowledgeable in each training module covered, she gave us time to digest all topics and explained all areas that we were unsure about. The practical moving and handling and first aid topics were well instructed and informative.
The training session went well and Christine was very knowledgeable and in touch with the role of Carer.
Something which I think is very important for a trainer to have.
She personalised the session to the client I am currently on placement with, which I found extremely useful.
An added bonus was Christine's hospitality - she made the environment comfortable and allowed for us to share our views.
I've been with Elderly Care Living since July 2019 now, after this session it affirms why I was happy to join in the first place.
My experience with the Care Managers Rebecca, Shantelle, and Laura has been extremely positive as well.
"I found the training with Christine to be very effective, she is very professional and has great communication skills. Thank you."
